.. it just would'nt be hockey season without a trip to the ER !! ... soooo that has set me back a little, but will have sneak peaks up really soon !!!! .... the [b] family will be happy to know that with a good brisk walk lilly was able to wear off all the extra weight she put on during her treat feast !!

hey ... I have not forgot about the blog ... I have been sick for the past week and finally starting to feel better .. I hope everyone is staying healthy ! .. lots of fun stuff I am working on .. watch for the launch of a new side to my business ... loving it and looking forward to what it has in store for 2008 !! ... soon to showcase will be some of the high school senior work .. keep your eye out for that ! My new fav cafe has opened .. VanGalis in downtown Fergus, be sure to stop in, on display is a large number of prints that I photographed during the process and am so thrilled with the number of emails and compliments I have received about them ... thank you so much ! .. till next time bundle up and stay warm !

... how come it seems like just yesterday she was a tiny baby sleeping in my antique treasure chest and now she is soooo grown up !!! .... the girls who came to the Cheryl Jacobs workshop hosted at my studio a few years ago will remember Kelsey ... she was one of the fabulous models that day ! ...
I have a pretty crazy schedule the next few weeks but have had some inquiries about doing the valentines special again like i did last year ... sooo I will be doing mini sessions Tuesday Jan.29th, Wednesday Jan 30th and Thursday Jan. 31 ... sessions beginning at 5:30 pm ... now here is the thing ... because i will be cutting it close in getting the orders to the lab and back in time this is what i am offering ... $75 will include the session time and a digital 5x7 file of your favorite image and a valentines card template to make copies for your little ones to hand out ... these are individual sessions so if you are looking to have more then one child photographed you will need to book more sessions accordingly ....

... i guess there is a positive side to getting up at 5:00 am for hockey practice ... i do get things accomplished when the rest of the world is still sleeping !!!
... you all know how much i love dogs so when maggie and the people she owns came into the freezing cold studio (the boiler is down) on the weekend .. you can only imagine how excited i was !!! .... maggie shot into super model action and her mom and dad did just the same ! ...
... i can't wait to meet the baby !!!!

i am shooting a wedding this year ! ...
i am photographing a dear friends wedding who i have adored since she was 7 ... and love her sister like she was my own sister !! ... and i am excited and nervous all at the same time !!! .... so i need practice ... i need to work on posing couples ... somehow i think saying the word booger is just not going to work like on a 4 year old !!! ..... sooooo please help me ... if you have a gorgeous wedding dress in your closet that you are dying to put back on ... and a really hot suit for the cute guy you married .. EMAIL ME !! ... the session fee is on me and i will include a killer package of prints for you as a thank you for helping me out !!! ..... i would love to do a session now in the winter ..outside !!! .. are you brave enough .. and another couple in the spring when it warms up a bit ... so EMAIL ME ! ..
.. i have to say i am so so SO jealous of my american friends who have these amazing senior sessions ... see in canada we think of senior and we think old people !! ... but no no no not all .... it is the high school grad pics !!! ... without the gown and the fake silk flowers ... but rockin model like pics ... sooooo again ... bring out the prom dress .. your fav clothes ... or just go shopping .. same goes, all on me ... a wicked collection to show your friends !!! .... woo wee .. hello 2008 ! .. don't you just love a new year .. a time to make changes, new beginnings ... new traditions ... i know that any day of the year can be that ... but i really love the first day of a new year .. we have made our first new years resolution .. to have more days to keep ... we are going to do something fun and crazy every sunday as a family, and since new years day always feels like a sunday we bundled up and headed out in a snow storm to go tobogganing ... do all the things you loved to do as a kid cause you know what ... its still fun as an adult ! ... and of course you have to photograph it ... ... find a strange place to photograph your family every sunday ... let me know your blog address so I can see them
